3 Results Fig. 2 depicts the curve obtained by the proposed parameter elimination based model for each dataset for the left kidney. Tab. 1 summarizes all results including the estimated GFR values and shows individual parameters for each kidney. The reduction of the unknowns reduces the runtime of a curve fit for a given set of initial parameters using MATLAB’s Trust-Region algorithm approximately by a factor of two.
