During Flora-Quest, up to twenty area naturalists lead hikes into the forest to observe wildflowers, migrating birds, butterflies, and other denizens of the forest. I prefer a sunny day to ensure a blue sky and attractive reflections in the Ohio River. The Rankin House faces south, so it receives good lighting for photography in the morning and evening.
